You’ve probably heard of the surgery everyone is talking about: the Brazilian butt lift. Known as a “BBL” for short, Brazilian butt lifts help you achieve your ideal figure. This procedure involves removing fat from other parts of your body and using it to shape your buttocks.

If you want an hourglass figure, a larger butt, and a slimmer waist, a Brazilian butt lift could be the procedure for you. Here’s what you need to know about the Brazilian butt lift surgery procedure.

Remove Excess Body Fat

The first step in a Brazilian butt lift surgery is to remove unwanted fat from your body. Common areas for fat removal include your waist, lower abdomen, thighs, arms, and chest. We use liposuction to take the fat out to use later in the procedure.

This step doesn’t stop with liposuction. Once the fat is removed, we run it through a special “cleaning” process. We remove damaged fat cells and “clean” the healthy fat cells. These healthy cells produce the best Brazilian butt lift results.

If you have areas of your body you want to slim down, this procedure is a good option. Instead of removing and throwing away fat, we use the fat to enhance your curves. Extra body fat works in your favor when it comes to getting a Brazilian butt lift.

Create Attractive Body Contours

After the fat is ready to be used, we implant it in your buttocks. The purpose of this procedure is to slim other body areas while making your butt rounder and larger. We place the fat near blood vessels in your buttocks to create an attractive shape.

Many people want the contours and curves a Brazilian butt lift provides. It can be difficult to achieve a round, perky, large butt through exercise alone. Brazilian butt lifts place excess body fat in all of the right places so that you can feel and look more attractive.

Removes Cellulite

The Brazilian butt lift surgery procedure reduces the appearance of cellulite in areas where we harvest your body fat. This means that any unwanted cellulite near your arms, thighs, or stomach may be less visible or eliminated entirely.

Cellulite is also common on the buttocks, and this procedure lifts and smooths the area. Smoother skin is another benefit of getting a Brazilian butt lift.

Hourglass Figure

Many women want an hourglass figure, and it’s finally possible with Brazilian butt lift surgery. The procedure gives your body more curves with the weight distributed in attractive places. If you have always wanted a thicker butt and slimmer waist, the Brazilian butt lift procedure will help you achieve that look.

The Procedure

Brazilian butt lift surgery typically takes two to four hours to complete. It can take longer than four hours if we harvest fat from several body areas. The liposuction and fat processing stages can increase the total time your surgery takes.

You will be under general anesthesia, much like with other surgeries. This means you won’t be awake and won’t feel any sensations during the procedure. You will simply fall asleep and wake up in your refreshed body.

We implant more fat cells than you need during the procedure because some fat cells won’t stay in place. During your initial consultation, we will discuss the figure you want to achieve so we know how much fat to implant. As you recover, your butt will lose a little bit of volume, and you will see the optimal shape appear.

Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery Recovery

It takes a few weeks to see the full Brazilian butt lift results. Right after surgery, you will stay for an observation period. This ensures you can safely drive or get another ride home. After general anesthesia, you can’t be cleared to drive until 24 hours later. It’s best to arrange a ride home in advance.

After the observation period, you can go home to rest and recover. We recommend relaxing and drinking a lot of water to help your body heal. If possible, try to have someone help you with daily tasks for 24 hours after surgery. This will give your body plenty of time to start healing.

After 24 hours post-surgery, it’s important to get up and walk around. You should take regular walks in the weeks following your Brazilian butt lift to promote healthy circulation. The more you get your blood flowing through movement, the faster your recovery may be.

Stay in tune with your body and rest when you feel tired. Sleep is incredibly important after any surgery. Your body needs downtime to recover.

Maintaining Your Results

Many patients wonder how long Brazilian butt lift results last. This depends on a few factors. If you lose or gain weight, your body shape will change. We recommend maintaining your weight after the procedure so that your figure stays where you want it to be.

Losing a lot of weight after your Brazilian butt lift can cause your butt to lose volume. We welcome you to come in for a follow-up procedure if you need additional enhancements.
